Updates from Emerald Coastkeeper

Oil still coming ashore in NW Florida

Oil continues to be found in Northwest Florida. Attached is the latest recon report showing recovered oil on the west side of Pensacola Pass just this week. Thanks to the legal use of 2 million gallons of dispersants (at least) millions of gallons of oil remain in the Gulf of Mexico. How long this oil will continue to wash ashore is yet to be determined. The long-term ecological effects of this oil are yet to be determined. The economic impact on the Gulf Coast is yet to be determined....
