Baghdad:
#1: Eight persons were wounded Wednesday in a rocket attack on the fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad, according to a security source. “A number of rockets hit al-Qadissiya residential compound in the Green Zone, injuring eight people,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
#2: A bomb, stuck to a vehicle, exploded in al-Nedal street in central Baghdad on Wednesday (Nov. 10), injuring three people onboard,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that the wounded were carried to the nearby Ibn al-Nafis hospital for treatment.
#3: “A Katyusha rocket hit a residential building in al-Salehiya region, central Baghdad,” the source said, without giving details on possible casualties or damage.
#4: Two civilians were wounded on Thursday by a bomb blast in eastern Baghdad, according to a security source. “An improvised explosive device went off on the Technical Institute street in al-Zaafaraniya region, eastern Baghdad, injuring two civilians, who were carried to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Basra:
#1: A guard of a foreign security company for removing landmines was killed and two more were wounded in a bomb explosion in northern Basra, a police source said. “An improvised explosive device went off near a vehicle belongs to G4S company for removing landmines, which works in west of al-Qarna oilfield, killing a security guard and injuring two more and burning their vehicle,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
Kirkuk:
#1: Unknown gunmen have attacked a United States' military airbase in northeastern Iraq, according to Iraqi security officials. The base, located near Kirkuk, was targeted by mortar fire early on Thursday, police chief Sarhad Ghader told Fars news agency. Two Katusha rockets hit inside the airbase, he further explained. There have been no reports of casualties in the incident, but local witnesses reported smoke rising from inside the compound.
#2: Unknown gunmen kidnapped two citizens in southwestern Kirkuk, according to a security source. “On Wednesday night (Nov. 10), unknown armed men entered a fast food restaurant in southwestern Baghdad, where they kidnapped two citizens in front of a police patrol, which did not move to save them,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “Kirkuk Police Department started an investigation into the incident to account the patrol for not saving the citizens,” he added.
Mosul:
#1: Gunmen in a speeding car killed a man near his house in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

#1: Two policemen were wounded Wednesday in an improvised explosive device blast in central Falluja, a police source said. “An improvised explosive device went off Wednesday (Nov. 10) near a security checkpoint in Joulan region, central Falluja, injuring two policemen and a passing civilian,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
A roadside bomb went off near a police checkpoint and wounded five people, including two policemen, in Falluja, 50 km ( 32 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.
Afghanistan: "The Forgotten War"
#1: American missiles killed six suspected militants as they returned home to Pakistan after attacking a security post across the border in Afghanistan, local intelligence officials said. The strike took place in North Waziristan just around three miles (five kilometers) from the Afghan border, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not allowed to speak to the media. A volley of missiles landed on a house, killing six people who were either inside or arriving there, the officials said. The identities of the victims were not immediately known.
#2: Unknown gunmen have destroyed two NATO oil tankers in Bolan district in southwestern Balochistan province in Pakistan, a Press TV correspondent reports. According to Pakistani police officials, unknown gunmen ridding a motorcycle opened fire at the NATO oil tankers and set them ablaze in Dhadar area of Bolan district late on Wednesday.
#3: At least seven policemen were killed and one wounded during an insurgent attack in southern Uruzgan province, an official said on Wednesday. The militants attacked a police checkpoint in Khas Uruzgan district late Tuesday night, Uruzgan governor Haji Khodai Rahim told AFP.Rahim said that seven policemen were killed and an eighth had gone with the insurgents in wake of the overnight attack, raising fears of an inside job. “This was a plot,” Rahim said. “The eighth soldier who was on guard, had links with Taliban, he directed the militants into the check point.” One soldier was also seriously wounded in the overnight attack. A spokesman for Taliban, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, said their fighters killed eight policemen and seized weapons from all those who manned the checkpoint.
#4: Security forces killed six militants in an exchange of fire in the northwestern region of Orakzai after militants ambushed a military patrol and killed one soldier, government officials in the region said.
#5: An ongoing clean up operation conducted by the Afghan and NATO-led forces killed four Taliban militants in Afghanistan's Logar province, 60 km south of capital city Kabul, provincial administration spokesman Deenn Mohammad Darwish said Thursday. "The operation, launched on Tuesday in Charkh district to clear the area from insurgents, has so far killed four militants," Darwish told Xinhua. He emphasized two more Taliban fighters were detained by the combined forces.
