{M-H-O} Making free calls to US Toll Free numbers using SIP



In this post, i will be guiding you on how to make free calls to all the US Toll Free (+1800) numbers from your Nokia 5800. This will be helpful for all the people who in someway have a US product in their home and stay in a different country. I myself have a printer from US and never tried calling the customer support because i have to make an international call for this. I once had a serious issue with PayPal and needed to call their toll free number in US. Such ISD call requirements would incur me a a huge cost if i were to call using my mobile phone. But now, i can call these numbers anytime free of cost.

1. Install Nimbuzz on your phone. This is required because we will be using Nimbuzz as the SIP client because Nokia 5800 does not come with an inbuilt SIP client. Voxalot is a free SIP service provider which allows you to make free calls to the number starting with 800 in the USA. Typical format of a toll free number in USA is +1-800-373-3411.

2. Assuming that you have installed the Nimbuzz client and also registered with Voxalot/Nimbuzz, the next step is to launch Nimbuzz and configure SIP.

3. Launch Nimbuzz and login. Select Options -> Settings
